01Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Gandoki, the owner of Austraverse ("we", "us"). They cover this website (austraverse.com) and the game at austraverse.app. By creating an account or playing, you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Austraverse.
02Your account
You must be at least 18 to play.
Give us accurate details, keep your password private and keep to one account per person. You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone else has access to it.
03Your @handle and Sim
Every Sim belongs to a real player and carries their @handle. Don't pick a handle that impersonates someone else, infringes a trademark, or is offensive. We may reclaim or change a handle that breaks these rules or has been inactive for a long time.
04The in-game economy
Austraverse has its own in-game money, property, companies and markets (including BullX). These are part of the game: they have no real-world value, can't be exchanged for real money, and you don't own them. We grant you a limited licence to use them while you play.
In-game markets are simulations. Nothing in Austraverse is financial, investment or legal advice, even where it mirrors real-world decisions.
We may adjust balances, prices or items to fix bugs, reverse exploits or keep the economy fair.
05Playing fair
When you play, you agree not to:
- cheat, use bots or scripts, or exploit bugs instead of reporting them;
- buy, sell or trade accounts, handles or in-game items for real money outside the game;
- harass, threaten, impersonate or scam other players;
- post illegal, hateful, sexual or violent content, or anything that infringes someone else's rights;
- interfere with, probe or overload our systems, or access them in ways we don't allow.
06Your content
You own what you post, such as Bullhorn posts. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and share it within Austraverse and to promote Austraverse, for as long as it's on the service. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
07Our content
Austraverse, its worlds, cities, art, code, names and logos belong to Gandoki or our licensors. You may use them only to play Austraverse as intended. Real places in our cities are artistic recreations and don't imply any endorsement.
08The service
Austraverse is a live world that keeps changing. We may add, change or remove features, cities and content, and the service may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. Cities marked "coming soon" have no guaranteed launch date.
09Suspension and closing your account
You can stop playing and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other players or the service at risk, and where we reasonably can, we'll tell you why. If Austraverse ever shuts down, we'll give reasonable notice.
10Disclaimers
Austraverse is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or meet your particular needs. Nothing in these terms affects rights you have as a consumer that can't be excluded by law.
11Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Gandoki isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of in-game items or progress. Austraverse is free to play, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or £50. We don't limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law.
12Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes will be handled by the Nigerian courts, except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
13Changes
We may update these terms as Austraverse grows. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the game or by email before it takes effect. If you keep playing after that, you accept the updated terms.
